Housing

The Final Draft Whitehorse Housing Strategy 2014 has been produced through a review and update of Council’s 2003 Housing Study. It focuses on identifying the types of housing needed to support the municipality’s growing and changing population.  It seeks to ensure that the dwellings we build today will meet the needs of future generations and that future housing is appropriately located throughout the City of Whitehorse.

The Strategy brings together conclusions of the draft Neighbourhood Character Review, draft Neighbourhood Activity Centre Guidelines, and community input to date, to propose a comprehensive approach to housing in Whitehorse for the next 20 years.
